Responsibilities:

During events, you will:

  • Greet parents and children and orient them to the event

  • Check children in/out from childcare area according to safety protocols

  • Assume responsibility for assigned children and ensure their safety throughout the event

  • Engage children during event programs, ensuring a fun and interactive experience

  • Comfort and assist upset children

  • Communicate with parents, children, event partners, and co-workers

  • Maintain a clean and safe childcare environment

  • Follow proper protocols in the event of injury or emergency

Before and after events, you will:

  • Assist with set up/tear down and cleaning of childcare space

  • Attend trainings and meeting(s)

You may need to perform more duties may as required by business needs.

Qualifications:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree highly preferred (ideally in early childhood education or child development). High school diploma required.

  • One year experience working with children and/or customer service

  • Current certification in CPR and First Aid (preferred)

  • Empathetic, patient, and professional personality

  • Excellent customer service attitude and abilities

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong sense of initiative, responsibility, and ethics

  • Access to reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout the greater Madison area

  • Ability to pass a background check

  • Ability to work in the US

Work Schedule:

ParentSquad offers hourly positions with variable hours. Event Staff usually work in blocks of 2-4 hours at a time. Due to the variable nature of ParentSquad events, we are not able to guarantee a set number of hours per week. Event Staff must have consistent availability during weeknights and/or weekends. Event Staff are able to sign up for event shifts as their schedules allow.

Pay:

Between $15 and $20 per hour (depending on experience and education)
